Welcome to Interwoven my new knitting blog. I hope to chronicle my adventures in the world of fiber and perhaps a bit of my personal life as well.
A bit about me. I've been knitting since I was about 6 years old. So long that I cannot remember learning how to do it, but I'm pretty sure my mother taught me. A neighbor and one of my brothers' girlfriend's (now his wife) also had a hand in refining my skills. Now many years later knitting is what keeps me sane, calms me down and gives me my creative outlet. When I had to give it up for a time due to an injury I thought I'd lose my mind. I even read books about knitting some of which I will talk about in this space (and no I don't mean technique and pattern books though I'll talk about those too).
Usually I have a couple of projects going on at any one time. Right now I'm working on a baby blanket for one of my nieces (two of them are pregnanat I've already finished one blanket), Aibhlinn from Knitty.com, and a pair of socks for my DD. The sock #2 will be finished tomorrow but I'll post a picture of the one I've aready done, as well as the baby blanket I finished, for you all to see.
Please keep checking back as the blog evolves and changes.

I want to see your Aibhlinn! I'm knitting it, too! Nice baby blanket, too...
I'm excited you've joined our blogging community!!! I think it is awesome you've been knitting so long - great pics posted so far.
I'm imagining knitting may end up being one of the few things that helps me keep my sanity from here on out! (I've only been knitting since Nov '04) I'll be checking back often!
